Yo everyone.

I am writing a guide for getting help to treat depression for the main site. How did you guys find get help? did you tell someone at church? your parents? call the local mental health board? have yourself commited?

Let me know, thanks.

I got my help after I commited a crime, the judge ordered that I have a mental evaluation and from there it was determined I had depression, basically - so my case was turned over the the mental heath center and thats where I recieve my treatment.

All people? Will you include me in your essay? No I didn't tell someone at church. What's tell someone at church like? Go ahead. . . . . . . . . . Do you like it?

I spent 2 years asking for help and not getting any so i tried to kill myself twice. Then they started to listen. I nearly succeeded too... Not that they're doing very well, but at least i'm still trying.

Fascinating. Who does "they" refer to?

Help? What's that?

Now why on earth would anyone want to end the antisocial unloved painful experience that is depression?

I just don't get people these days..

I have been depressed for the past couple of years. I pretty much stay inside away from people all the time. The thought of getting help now is a terrifying one. I consider it once in awhile, but I can never actually do it.

I can try, what would you like help with? ""? What is it? Thats a lot. How do you feel about these people? Do you think about these things a lot?

Lets see...tried the head doctors first, they didn't help. Then I tried prozac, which helped for awhlie, but my body got used to it I guess, and even the highest dose wasn't doing anything. So then I went to the hospital where more docs tried to help. They were, again, unsucessful. So THEN I was put on Zoloft, which helped a little but I just don't care enough to go get my presciption refilled. (I really should do that.)

Anyway, don't know if that helped. Best I could do.

I never got help...I actually did the whole thing on my own the first few times. I kept a journal and writing out everything that was bothering me helped a lot. But doing the whole thing on your own is definately the hardest.

I got it when i didn't want it so I guess it dosn't realy count as "help" cause it dosn't help.
Peace and hugs
