Im organizing on march the 1st a presentation at my school on SI, seeing how that day is Self Injury Awareness Day I felt it was appropriate, I already talked to my teachers and Im getting a social group to help me organize it, that isnt the hard part, getting ideas of what I should say isnt even the hard part, going on a stage in front of my whole school of 2500 students and going on about cutting is, Im so scared, I dont want people at my school to all think that Im a cutter, of course I am but Im still worried, I dont know if I will be able to handle it, I want to do this of course because it needs to be done I could just use some encouragement thats all.

Wow, good luck. I could never work up the courage to do that, it takes a lot just to think about doing it. You'll do well, though :)

It's so amazing that you're even beginning to organise this, i'm so proud of you. I know it's gonna be so scary getting up and talking in front of all those people, but it will be worth it. You're gonna raise awareness about something that is so much more common than people realise, even the people that do it. I know it's impossible to get through to everyone but you're going to change the thoughts and opinions about SI of at least a few people, hopefully a lot.
And for you personally i don't think that everyone will think you're a cutter, even if people do think that as long as you've made it clear that just because someone cuts doesn't make them crazy then you should be ok.
I hope that all the planning is going ok, i don't expect i can be much help from so far away but if you need anything then feel free to ask.

All I can say is...wow! Its scary for anyone to get up in front of people. Satistically it the number one fear of all humans, if that helps. I wish someone would do it here... iv actually been thinking about it for awhile but never knew "how" to do it.
Just a thought but maybe you could pass around anonymous surveys and get peoples opinion on it or even figure out how many cut or tried it or though about it, you might be surprised, you just never know. You might not be as worried talking infront of them if you know how much your helping or how many need it because they just dont understand.
Im sure youll do just fine. You have a while to phyic yourself up. If anyone is to do it, im sure glad its you!! Your a really good person and really know what your talking about!! About them finding out you SI, think about it...does it really matter if they think you do or at worst know...if you present a awesome presentation and nail the right facts. It would prove that you actually tought them something! Also make it a little more user friendly for all the other "cutters" (<---so wrong yet somewhat true) at your school.
Sorry, im rambling.
Anyway good luck

As I'm sure you already know, there's gonna be some tough times ahead...but you're strong enough to handle it, I know you are. Kids are gonna jerks, but there are going to be a few pleasant surprises too. When the time comes to give your presentation, just take it little by little, take lots of deep breaths and keep your head clear, and everything will be ok. You can't go wrong by doing this, no matter what anybody tells you because this is something you really believe in, and people will be able to see that through your presentation.

I think you will do fine! I've always been shy and talk so quiet that no one could hear me and avoid presentations like always, then I started studying at the university and first course was Information Knowledge or something like that if you translate it, and it was several classes taking it, so it was like 600 ppl, and we had to talk infront of all of them all the time, and it's so much orally at university that I've gotten pretty used to it, and I can ensure you that when you start to talk it will go fine... There are several moments... got names in latin that I don't remember :) About how your brain works unconciously (I'm swedish so my spelling can be wrong) :) Your brain are already going thru scenarious and ideas of what you say, therefor you feel some of the fear of doing it, but you are getting prepared... and something that is important is that you learn your speech good... If you know it good and start to talk it will go perfect... I know you will do fine :)
