I will be PMing people replies to their threads, because my mom can't read the PMs I have sent...she can only read the posts...hopefully she won't see this one! I am back!

Ummm.....
How about you just log-out and clear your cookies after your done browsing the board each session, that way she can't get ahold of your username/password or end up signed in under ur name.
Also, if she's smart enough, she can read the PMs you have sent, because those are saved in your Sent Messages box.
But there has to be something better you can do instead of having to PM people to reply to their threads. Also, I am moving this to the forum issues area.

I am not sure...maybe I will just post. My mom hasn't been online since December 2...maybe I will just risk it and post.

Be creative. Set up a firewall or something and password protect this site from your mom. Block the site through your hosts file and use a proxy to access it yourself. There's lots of (incredibly geeky, now that I think about it) things you could do to restrict your mom... :D

Visit the site from the library. If you are using WindowXP create another user and visit while logged into the computer as that user and password protect it.
Yeah, like Gnome said, there are allot of technical ways to go about it, or you can use logic and just never let her figure out your visiting the site to begin with.

Heh, the ultimate technical way would be to start using Linux--I'd love to see my parents get into that, much less find anything. I love command line :D

j00 know in a standard Redhat installation the only way you ever see the command line is if you were to bring up the console. Other than that it's KDE or GNome all the way :)

Same with Mandrake. Of course, you could always do an init 3 and make it boot up to command line every time :)

Personally, I could never get Mandrake to work for me :-/
Only RedHat

Whee, pictures! (look below at the attachment).
I had to do a lot of tinkering to get mandrake to work properly, but that's mainly because my computer is an HP--it's not made for linux. I fixed that, though :D

Hehe, thanx guys. I don't think I want to create ANOTHER account. Too many. I am creative, I will think of SOMETHING...I know! I will use our home networking to block and password protect this site, and whenever I want to use it, I will type the password. Then, I am the only one! Whoo! I am smart. But I will limit my posts for now...gotta be careful.

?Quick Question?
Paprika-
You know that thing that says Remember Me on the Login screen? I can just type an "R" and all of my info will fill in. I don't want to have the cookies saved. I have tried unchecking the box, but TM still remembers my info. Is there any way to undo that?

It's your broswer. I forget how to clear saved forms in IE, since I use Mozilla. Try using a different browser, Raven. Netscape would be a good choice, it comes with a pop-up blocker built in.

Nutscrape... *cough*
Try turning Auto complete off in IE. It's probably buried in the advanced internet options tab somewhere. I would be more specific, but I run version 5 of IE when most people use 6 nowadays...

Netscape is accually pretty good. Now that it's pretty much Mozilla with Netscape plastered on it.
