What is your hobby/release? [Archive]

Just interested in what everyone here enjoys as a hobby, or as a release for when they are down?

I occasionly blow off the dust on my Technics and have a mix for 4 hours. Or I occasionly move around the lights and set up of my PC. Here are some pics off when I first started it.

what i do, i play flute (semi-competitive so i have to practice a lot), i have so much homework its ridiculous....and i play stupid video games...over and over looking for cheats, things ive missed, obsessively checking for random items, etc

I like video games...Jedi! Your computer is AWESOME! Mine is an ugly tan color...crap. Yours is all black with this green light thingy inside!!! AWESOME!!! I play violin, piano, computer, talk on TM, go out with my friends, lay on the floor and stare at the ceiling...suspend myself on the ceiling and look at the floor...(JUST KIDDING)

I guess doing your homework isnt one of your hobbies? tut tut.

I wish I could play an instrument. I could play the ocarina in Zelda ocarina of time pretty well tho.

No....I do homework...But I am obsessed with TM, and I like to be on here so much that my homework time is sacraficed...gotta fix that problem.

ahhh RAVEN I PLAY PIANO too woohoo!!...well i quit cuz i was no good, but i never thought of it as a release...hmmm thats not a bad idea!!!

well I guess you guys mean, um, how can I put this. non, you know releases, so here goes, Reading is one of my biggies, playing computer games, COUNTERSTRIKE OH YA, go artics, cheap bastards, playing magic cards, um hanging out with friends, it used to be showers, but not anymore......thats about it.

But yeah if I am not on the computer I am doing school work, sleeping, helping around the house or working on some of my own personal projects. Not nessesarly that I like any of the above things or that I have a life, in most people's opinions I probably don't :dry:

Back on topic, I usually mess with computer crap when I need something to do... whether that be messing with hardware, doing a little programming, playing games, making mods, chatting online, you name it... other times I just sleep.

is anyone good with C++ and knows if its expensive I tried to learn it, but It was so hard, and before I got good with it, my class switched to Java which blew.

i like to work on trucks...thats my hobby. Just being in the shop. I love the whole shop atsmophere. Its great but i love to play video games and go clubbin, i love sports, softball, BASEBALL (GO GIANTS) football (FSU)(GO DOLPHINS AND 49ers) hockey(SHARKS). im just an all around tomoboy that wears makeup. laughs
i love anything outside. that what my hobbies are. im talking about hunting, fishing, camping, surfing, just going outside. Oh and being with my friends. THat always makes me feel better

My hobby and release is skating. Whatever is wrong, I can just go out and skate til I'm about to pass out... and I'll feel better. :)

I know a little bit of C++, I suppose. Everyone copied off me last year, so yeah... I'm in Visual Basic this year, just because it's the same lazy ass teacher who lets us play video games in class :)

I used to have a website; I taught myself HTML and a little Java before I got pissed and erased the whole stupid thing. Now I go to TM, make the little stars [distanced is like the only person who knows what I'm talking about!] or just sit and spin in my computer chair. :sick:

Same here, I know a bit of C++, I've written two programs in C++, it's not 'expensive' to learn, just search for some online free C++ tutorials, and start coding away.

I was able to goto my local library and borrow a book on C++ programming, it was pretty good and had a CD that came with it which had examples and untilites and such.

I have an Unreal Fan Grill on the side, also a new Counterstrike one on the inside. The Half Life Applique has been scrapped.

I use to play alot of Drum & Bass back when I was about 16, now I play alot of house. I also buy as many Trip Hop records as i can (DJ Shadow) but its not that easy to find them here.

Heh.. I guess my release would be listening to music and playing my guitar... I'm not good at the guitar yet, but practice makes perfect, and it takes concentration. And if I'm online, I spin on the computer chair, but not here (school) because they took away the nice spinny chairs for 'health and safety reasons' :( so it's plastic classroom chairs...

Heh, turns out we were both right. I didn't notice that HL logo at first either :)

[Edit] Oh yeah, the HL symbol is the Greek letter Lambda, which often stands for wavelength... it definitely confused the hell out of me when we were learning about that stuff in class the other day. I'm such a nerd :rolleyes:

just for the record, I am a nerd, and damn proud of it, being over 6 feet tall, most people who arnt nerds have decided its cooler to be a nerd, then to be beaten up by one, lol, Im just kidding but if liking computers, magic cards, and starwars makes me a nerd, then damn it Im a nerd, thats not all I like or anything, I love seeing the leafs, smash the rangers, and the thrashers I just get down when there 0-10 but there not bad, usually, oh well. LEAFS ROCK.

Oh man, hockey thats my thype of language. I guess then im considered a nerd to. I ove to play video games. Or even computer games. And I LOVE STARWARS..seen them all so many times. Im not really into magik cards but, theres this game my dad plays where he actually has to build the modles and i help him build them an paint them..its fun, but no idea what the game is called. Laughs i come from a video game household. BOTH my partents are gamers. Their chose of video game: Shadow Bane...
