Being that I have a fetish for needles, I can't exactly relate =)) But! I can tell you not to worry :sweet: If it does hurt, it'll only hurt for a split second, and if the nurse has done it enough times - then it wont hurt at all, jsut a small prick and *boop* You're done! But..if TB stands for Tuberculosis, then it DOES leave a 'welt' of sorts on your arm. I haven't gotten mine yet, will soon, but my mom and I were talking about this just the other night. She said your arm swells up where it happens.
You'll do fine though! Everyone who's over the age of 16, well MOST everyone, has lived through it

The TB shot wasn't that bad. Tetanus shots are worse, I believe, and they're not even too bad. I've probably had 5 tetanus shots in the past 10 years... stupid injuries :)

Bike accidents, accidental impalation, that kind of thing. Normal kid stuff :p I also had one before my 6th grade year as required by law.
Just let it be known that, to date, I have never broken a bone... *knocks on wood*

Accidental impalation? ::excited shiver:: Ohhh, do tell!
I have a phobia of needles, so i know how it can fell to be afraid of something that's "so small" except to me, it's not small at all! *lol, rhyme* I had my TB shot at the beginning of this year, and i nearly cried (i don't cry!) and i almost screamed at the nurse b/c she was talking to somebody else while doing the shot!!!! I was like CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING B****!!!! eep... i /hate/ needles. It does swel, and it's usually a little sore afterwards, but if you don't tense up your muscles or anything that will soon go away. The swelling creeped me out, but that was b/c of the needle thing. Everytime i looked at the bump i shuddered. Keeping a bandaid on it prbbly won't hurt anything if you really can't stand it, i did! lol... see!? You're not such a wuss! I'm *practically* 18, and i'm TERRIFIED shitless of needles. lol  You'll be fine, I Promise! Just a prick and a swell, and all done :)

I don't care about needles. I have had blood tests done for lyme disease, and other stuff like that...it isn't that bad...just hope that you don't end up in a hospital, because they stick an IV in your arm, and it stays there 24/7 even if nothing is being injected. I think that they do that so that if you have an emergency and need medication, then they can give it to you directly right away! I have never been in a hospital, though...I agree...I hate tentanus shots. I have had 2. They make your muscles ache like :censored2

Yeah...I have a problem with people putting wires, tubes, needles, etc in or on me...I HATE IT! :ranting: I had an EEG (a brain test) at the hospital once and they put all these wires on my head and it was so itchy that it drove me crazy! They had a monitor on me, so that if I had a seizure or something, they would know...weird...

When it's needles/IVs/wires in my arms/viens..that's fine, but when my shrink tried to do Neurology(spelling!), all the wires on my head irked me!

Accidental impalation? ::excited shiver:: Ohhh, do tell!
Well, it was eighth grade. I was riding an old scooter (not one of those cheap small newer ones, an old late-80s/early 90s one) and decided bunny hops would be fun. I landed on my fourth one and the front tire blew out, which made me jerk the handlebars sideways. Now, the rubber covers on the handlebars were long worn out, so when I landed on them, it made a quarter-sized hole in my leg. It actually didn't hurt too bad, as I got right up and just thought, "That will be one hell of a bruise," then went in to get a drink and sit down for a minute. I decided to take a look at my "bruise" to find the hole in my leg... so I told my mom and we went to the hospital. I had about six stitches, I think. The weird thing is that it didn't bleed at all. It was fun watching my muscles (which are grey, by the way, at least mine were) move around as I flexed.
I still have the scar :D I'm just glad it hit where it did instead of about four inches over... otherwise I'd be minus a testicle or two :o

WOW...that must have been sick...I had a pretty large sized hole in my knee once, too...I didn't get stitches, though...it wasn't anywhere near as bad as yours. I couldn't see my muscles...it was a superficial cut, so it just bled a lot. Glad to hear that it is better now.

Sick? Nah, it was actually kind of amusing. My mom wouldn't let me play with it while we were going to the hospital, though, since it was grossing her out :p
[Edit] Heh, I just got out the doctor reports, and it says that if the bar had gone in another quarter inch I would be paralyzed in my left leg. Now that would have sucked.
Raven

Yeah...I am glad that you were lucky! Having your legs paralyzed is no fun...one of the people at our school has to use a wheelchair because she can't move either leg...:sad2:

When I was in the hospital I ripped my IV out three times and they had to, like, tape it to my arm with a HELL of a lot of tape so I couldn't do it again. So I chewed through the tube. O_o

i fell like an idiot asking this but what is an TB shot

The needle of the IV doesn't stay in. It's a catheter (fancy word for tube) inside the needle. So if something itches, it's either what you're getting in the IV or the tape. Anyway, TB test isn't bad now that they've made it better(: Hope it goes well.(:
